The 11,325 sq. ft. buiding faces a major intersection for high visibility. The retail center was developed to maximize the area on a sloping .98 acre site. The difficult site slopes 16 feet from one corner to the other. To allow access to the parking lot and the streets, a series of 4-foot steps were incorporated into the building. The building was also designed to be built behind an existing structure. The existing structure was then removed at the completion of work. The original tenant then took up residence in the new center. The building is constructed of load-bearing concrete block. The roof framing consists of prefabricated wood trusses. The canopy is fabricated out of prefinished metal. All materials were selected for economical construction and a long building life. |
