Roller Clinic
CLIENT: ROLLER WEIGHT LOSS
TIME PERIOD: 2016
ROLE: ARCHITECT
SIZE: 26,000 SF
MBL was engaged by Dr. Roller and the Roller Weight Loss & Advanced Surgery team to design a new medical facility in Fayetteville, Arkansas. What began as a request for four private offices and 12 patient exam rooms evolved— through strategic feasibility studies—into a 26,000-squarefoot comprehensive medical center. The expanded scope included dedicated tenant lease space, designed to further support the specialized care needs of Dr. Roller’s patient population.
The clinic features a spacious patient waiting and checkin area, centralized nurse station, four private doctor offices, 12 exam rooms, an EKG and lab area, and multiple consultation rooms. During construction, additional tenant were introduced and incorporated into the facility to house a physical exercise studio, a sleep study lab, and a plastic surgery clinic. Each tenant suite was uniquely designed to meet their specific operational needs, while maintaining a cohesive architectural language throughout the building.
The client desired a contemporary architectural approach with an emphasis on natural light in all public and patient-facing areas. MBL responded with a design that strategically orients the building to optimize solar angles specific to the site. High clerestory windows in each exam room allow daylight penetration while preserving patient privacy.
This project showcases MBL’s ability to adapt to evolving client needs, expand project scope through strategic planning, and deliver highly customized tenant spaces, all within a cohesive architectural framework. The result is a contemporary, patient-centered facility that supports specialized medical services while maintaining a unified and efficient design.
